Project:

The deployment of Single European Sky ATM Research (SESAR) programme, is an EU led modernisation programme of Air Traffic Management throughout Europe, from research through to deployment by the National Air Traffic Control Service (NATS).

Services:

Equib were commissioned to provide the following services:

  • Programme cost uncertainty and risk analysis: identification of the critical projects within the programme, calculation of the programme risk exposure and definition of the scope / options possible within the available budget
  • QCRA on the risks identified to the delivery of the key projects
  • Provision of training and mentoring to NATS staff
  • Review of a particular Deployment Point (Key Milestone) within the overall programme to determine the statistical confidence of meeting a particular date. The review involved determining sufficiency of detail within the schedule, whether the logic actually represented the planned  delivery methodology and that the durations were realistic. Upon completion of the review the probabilistic data was appraised to determine if the process, including probabilistic analysis, was satisfactory and met the Board’s needs.
