The programme was split into three main contracts (Track, Signalling, and Major Civils) and managed as the London Bridge Area Partnership (LBAP). Balfour Beatty were awarded the Track contract to reconfigure nine ‘through’ platforms and six terminating platforms, and in addition to these major works, they were also awarded a Minor Civils package to facility the signalling works, and are acting as the Principal Contractor role outside of London Bridge station.
